Peter M. Cohen is an attorney in St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, Pete first found his passion for justice when playing attorney Clarence Darrow in a grade school play. Pete came to St. Louis to attend Washington University and graduated on the dean’s list in 1985. He then went south to New Orleans to attend Tulane University Law School, graduating in 1988. After graduation, Pete decided to move back to Missouri, passed the bar and served as a public defender in Cape Girardeau and later in St. Louis. In 1990, Pete became a member on the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois and Eastern District of Missouri. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Attorney Cohen served his country as a U.S. Marine and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 1988. In 1993, he founded Peter Cohen Law Firm where he has practiced criminal defense, bankruptcy, worker’s compensation, traffic and auto law and personal injury.
